How to Add Emoji Support to Your WordPress Blog
Emojis are fun and cute. They allow you to express yourself without using too many words. This is why they’re so popular on social media sites and texting apps. Many WordPress users are looking for ways to add Emoji support to their WordPress site. In this article, we will show you how to add Emoji support to your WordPress blog using WP Emoji One.

First thing you need to do is install and activate the WP Emoji One plugin. Upon activation, visit Settings » WP Emoji One to configure the plugin settings.
This plugin adds a button to the default WordPress visual editor. The first option on the settings page is to select which row do you want the button to appear. It’s selected to be in the first row by default, but you can change that if you want the button to appear on another row. After that simply click on the Save Changes button to store your settings.
To see the Emojis in action, simply create a new post or edit an existing one. You should see a new Emoji button in your WordPress visual editor. If you do not see a button, then you are probably using the text editor.
Clicking on the button will bring up a popup window where you can select the Emoji you want to insert by simply clicking on it. You can also select from the available sizes 16, 18, 24, 32, and 64px.
Currently there are over 840 emoticons available for you to use. These emoticons are sorted into four categories, and each category has its own tab. You can switch between them by clicking on the category icon.
The icon set and emoji support is based on the Emoji One open source project. The aim of the project is to provide a universal set of emoji icons to be used in modern web and mobile apps.
At the time of writing this article, WP Emoji One did not support Emoji icons in WordPress comments. However, the plugin author plans to add this feature in the future release.
