What is NoCAPTCHA reCAPTCHA?
To tackle the ever-increasing amount of automated spam across the web, a team of experts developed a technology called CAPTCHA (Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart). It simply showed users an image containing some text, and users were asked to correctly type the text to prove that they are human.
Since then significant developments were made in the field of artificial intelligence technology. Today there are computer programs that can easily solve a CAPTCHA with 99.8% accuracy. This made the usual CAPTCHA much less effective.
Google recently announced a new API for their reCAPTCHA technology. They are calling it NoCAPTCHA reCAPTCHA. Instead of showing users text, this new technology simply asks users to click a box to prove they are human. If the NoCAPTCHA intelligence engine feels that a user might be a spam bot, then it will show them further challenges.
