How to Allow Users to Invite Their Friends to Register in WordPress

First thing you need to do is install and activate the plugin Invite Friends to Register. Upon activation, you will notice a new menu option added under Settings called Invite Friends.
This is the page where you can modify the email subject, message such. Plenty of personalization tokens are available to make the email sound more personal.
Users can invite their friends from the backend by going to Users » Invite Friends. All they have to add is friend’s name and their email. User can add multiple emails at once.
If your site doesn’t allow users to have a backend, which is how it should be in most cases. You can display this option in the front-end by using the function invite_friends() in your templates or a shortcode [invite_friends] in your post/page content. Below is the screenshot of how it looks. However you can customize the styling through your stylesheet.
This plugin has the feature to store successful registered users in their inviter’s user meta data. Maybe you can show that as an honor badge in that user’s profile. Perhaps something like (Invited 5 users or something similar).
It’d be really nice to see this plugin have the option to connect with popular API’s such as Gmail etc. This way users can import their entire friend list if they so choose to.
