As many of you know that we were having a mini giveaway on WPBeginner. We were giving away 10 free copies of Standard WordPress Theme thanks John Saddington, one of the guys behind Standard Theme.
This was a twitter-exclusive contest where users were required to tweet about the contest. They were also asked to post a comment on the giveaway post. Last requirement was that they must follow @wpbeginner on twitter, so we could notify them via Direct Message.
Winners were selected randomly. Each entry was assigned a number, and the chosen ones received our Direct messages.
Over 6 winner entries were discarded because they were not following us (so we couldn’t send them a Direct Message). That is 60% of the winning entires being discarded which forced us to draw more numbers to pick winners.

There were tons of entries and choice of winners were not in our hand (it was random). If you were one of those who really really wanted this theme, then we recommend you buy a copy of Standard Theme.
