So, choosing between all the Verizon plans must be done carefully just like taking decisions on your career. If done right, it will save you a lot of money by making sure you don’t pay for the things you don’t need. But if don’t choose a right plan you will probably lose a lot of money without even realizing it or worse, lose connectivity because you chose an inefficient plan not suited to your daily needs.
Verizon doesn’t have the best of coverages throughout and the Verizon wireless plans do not cater well to individuals as much as they do to groups, but we will cover all the best Verizon plan costs with the value they offer and lay out our comparisons among them for you.

Looking at the plans above we must tell you that they aren’t the best Verizon wireless plans on offer and regarding data neither are they the best Verizon unlimited data plans. If we had to choose one, for the daily worker who also likes to consume a healthy amount of media from the web, we would suggest the Beyond Unlimited plan. You get a decent amount of data and can watch streams at high definition. But there is more. In case you and some friends or family up to 4, to share the same plan with you then each plan is reduced by up to $35 for four phone lines, which then becomes a great deal even at the highest tier. Anyone in your group can choose whichever plan they want to, but the entire group joins under one account. If you are still not satisfied, we suggest you read through for the other individual and group Verizon plans.
Verizon Plans for Shared Data
These are data-centric Verizon plans. You can either choose one for yourself or go big on the higher tiers while sharing the data with your entire family.
- S plan, 2 GB ($35, plus $20 for every line added to the plan and taxes and fees)
This plan is basically for those who talk and text and occasionally use social media. This is in no way, targeting the heavy users.
You get 2 GB of 4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, any unused data is carried over to the next month, a data boost is available for $15/1 GB, and you get Verizon up rewards.
This is arguably Verizon’s cheapest plan of any kind, so if you are on a tight budget, we highly recommend this one.
- M plan, 4 GB ($50, plus $20 for every line added to the plan and taxes and fees)
You get a little extra data on this one, double to be precise. This caters to your needs if you tend to browse for photos and watch videos online and also stream some of your content now and then.
You get 4 GB of 4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, any unused data is carried over to the next month, a data boost is available for $15/1 GB, and you get Verizon up rewards.
- L plan, 8 GB ($70, plus $20 for every line added to the plan and taxes and fees)
We highly recommend you choose this plan with your family or with a group of friends unless you have no problem with paying $70 a month yourself. This will basically provide enough data for those who are mostly online the whole and watch a lot of videos and stream content most of the time.
You get 8 GB of 4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, any unused data is carried over to the next month, a data boost is available for $15/1 GB, and you get Verizon up rewards.
- 5 GB plan ($55, plus $20 for every line added to the plan and taxes and fees)
This according to us, is the best out of the bunch for those who do a little bit of everything and don’t want to sacrifice any part of their monthly data consumption. This plan is great individually and for a couple, or for some friends who are willing to equally share the price and data while still managing to do what they love most.
You get 5 GB of 4G LTE data, unlimited talk and text, any unused data is carried over to the next month, a data boost is available for $15/1 GB, and you get Verizon up rewards.
Verizon Plans: Prepaid
Most of us are at ease, paying for things beforehand and then using the service later. It gives much more control to users, and we don’t end up paying more for overusing beyond our allotted monthly quotas. The Verizon prepaid plans are just that; plan for a single user or more than one up to four different phone lines.
The best features of these plans are that when you are in a group of up to four or five, you get to mix and match your data requirements and the charges vary based on the amount of data chosen by each user.
- The basic 3 GB per user plan stands at $40 per month in total with unlimited US talk and text, text to 200 different countries and unused data is carried over to the next cycle.
- For 7 GB, it is $50 and the usual as above.
- For 10 GB, it is $60 along with the usual as above and unlimited talk to Mexico and Canada.
- For unlimited it is $75. You get the usual, unlimited talk to Mexico and Canada and mobile hotspot (up to 600 kbps).
You can add up to four different lines and choose each plan and save $10 on each of the second and third lines and have the fourth line completely for free. So, this is without a doubt one of the best Verizon wireless plans if you are looking to get a lot of data and talk time but save up on the bill as well.
So, we have listed out all the important Verizon plans which we think you should use or at least look over before switching to Verizon. It is also worth mentioning that you probably will have to buy a locked smartphone or device as part taking a Verizon subscription, so we highly recommend you choose a device of your liking and couple that with the cost of the monthly plan.
